It involves 2 steps: add this attribute to your form tag: onsubmit="return (enableConfirmation&&confirm('are you sure?'))" modify your OnClientClick to this: OnclientClick="enableConfirmation=true" This way the validators is be fired, then the confirmation However, if you select no then the validation will not be called.
