Mac Sound Not Working Greyed Out
Are you running El Capitan? After I unplug my headphones I noticed the red optical light inside the audio out slot continues to glow and blink. Kunal Karnik repair disc saved my day & of course a lot of money as well…..thanks a ton kaliba not all problems are with the jack , i had to updade Take an old pair of headphones and cut the wire just above the male connector that gets inserted into the port, and insert the jack into the sound port. The only way I found to fix it is disconnecting the usb hub from the laptop and reconnect it.
