For example create a test.asp file with some content and browse it. I've messed around so much I can't remember what settings cause what error message. any other possibilities? IIS 6.0 comes with ASP disabled by default, and this will show you how to enable it. If you do not enable these features, IIS returns a 404 error. i think we are nearer to the solution. But it is still not working.
The ASP is enabled in IIS and the Windows Service is started. Step 2 - Create New AppPool for ASP Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> IIS Manager. The workaround specified that restarting the IIS and the website resolved the issue. check it out its something official.

In most cases, ASP is not setup by default with IIS 7.5. http://theweblive.net/asp-pages/asp-pages-not-working-in-iis-6.html Also, in IE go to Tools - Internet Options - Advanced Options and uncheck the "show friendly http errors" setting to get more information about your error. You have to create the Dword or Qword(for 64 bit OS) and set the value as 0. its not working. Why do most microwaves open from the right to the left? I've allowed ASP and ASP.Net Web Extensions.
